Domestic Violence Contact Service

This is a service developed with Croydon Council’s Equalities Department.  This initiative takes place on  Saturdays twice a month with qualified Social Workers and Childcare Staff.  The service provides a safe and stimulating environment for contact between a parent and the child/children.  Contact between the Parent and child will be supervised. 

Criteria for referral

Currently all referrals  to the Centre are via Family Court Proceedings in Croydon.

The families are referred via the Court system following a Contact Order being granted.

The referral form has to be completed by the Solicitor making the application to the Centre.

Process for referral

The Enquirer to contact the Centre for a Referral pack and to obtain details of timings of sessions and availability of places.

Once the referral has been received, it is necessary for the parent attending Contact to meet with staff to sign an Agreement and confirm a start date.
